SPRING KC ZOMBIE WALK -

The Kansas City Zombie Walk for Hunger is a grass roots
charity founded in May of 2008. June 1st, 2012 will be the 8th semi-annual walk
here in Kansas City where the zombie horde is growing bigger and stronger
Please join us on June 1st, 2012 in the Cross Roads
Art District, the parking lot of the Pitch, at 1701 Main. We will
start walking at 8 PM. All food must be checked in by 7:45 PM. Suggested
time of arrival is 7 PM. Since it is the largest First Friday of the
season, it is best to arrive at the allotted destination at 7. It can get
a little hairy parking so make sure you leave yourself enough time to park

the KC Zombie Walk is all about feeding and assisting the hungry, if you
are going to come be a spectator, please donate as well!
MAKE SURE YOU CHECK IN AT ONE OF THE TABLES TO TURN YOUR DONATION IN. ONCE
YOUR DONATION HAS BEEN RECEIVED YOU WILL GET MARKED IN SOME FASHION SO
THAT WE KNOW THAT YOU HAVE EITHER TURNED IN YOUR DONATION OR PAID THE
$10.00 FEE TO OPT OUT OF BRINGING FOOD.
If you have combined
donations please make sure every person checks in so you can get your
marking. One person is not allowed to turn in for 5 people while the other
4 are out conversing with other zombies.
While this is an adult only
walk, children are allowed at your own risk. We are NOT liable for
anything that may offend both children and adults. If you find someone’s
costume offensive please keep your thoughts to yourself. This walk is not
about you it’s about feeding the hungry.
once again have a blood station at this walk, however, it will be handled
a little differently. In order to participate and receive blood at the
blood station we will be asking for a minimum donation of $1.00. 1 gallon
of blood costs $40.00, we are running low on blood and all donations will
count towards the operation of the walk which includes blood.
A general route will be
posted when you arrive. We will be walking for at least an hour though the
route is not set in stone. If the leader decides to veer off, the
remainder will follow.
As always, I will be
posting the rules of the walk. as the walk continues to grow, we continue
to have more problems with participants NOT following the rules. There
will be spotters throughout the walk looking for people breaking the
rules. If you are caught breaking these rules you will be asked to leave
the walk immediately.
